Congratulations to 14U Griffith on bringing home the gold at the USSSA Night Owl Tournament this past weekend in Forks! 

Can you say 2 for 2? Well the Explosion 14u team certainly can as they won their second tournament of the season this past weekend in rain soaked Leesport PA at the BIG VISION 14U JACKIE ROBINSON CLASSIC!

Rain storms unfortunately cancelled action on the first day of the tournament, but the Explosion 14u girls came out rested and ready to play winning three straight bracket games on Sunday by a combined 19-4, putting them solidly in second place.
 
This led to a Championship game showdown late Sunday between the Explosion and Complete Game Vortex, who just came off an equally impressive 3-game sweep on the day, giving up only 4-runs and scoring 24 to take the top ranking.
 
The Explosion took the lead early by jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning and they never looked back. Pitcher Abbie Miller pitched a complete game gem with 4 strikeouts, giving up only 1-run to a team that had dominated all of their opponents all afternoon.
 
There was absolutely no quit in this team and they earned a well-deserved second tournament Championship of the season. Things are looking great for 2019! Congratulations Explosion 14u!!
